The Poet of the Month is voted by for by registered members of the Nubianpoets.com Poetry Board.


Each board member gets one vote. You cannot vote for yourself.


Votes are to be submitted to Nubianpoets@nubianemail.com no later than the 5th of the following month in question, but not earlier than the last day of the of the month the contest is being awarded.


Votes are to be based on the breath and scope of the poet's work posted on the board during the month in question. Yes, a person can when more than once during a year, but not more than twice.


When voting, the member should site at least one of the members post during that month which highlights their artistry as a poet for that month.


Consideration should also be given to poets who are regular participants and post quality work, as well as, participate with others in the Nubianpoets.com family.


Votes for the January poet of the month are due no later than February 5th, 2010.


The winner will be posted within 7 days of the deadline.


All prizes and gifts will be mailed no later than the end of the month or within 7 days of receipt of the winners mailing information.
